Jeff,

This looks awesome! I know it's a long way off, but I can't wait for this to be built. It will be a great addition to our city. Any chance that we can add a hike/mountain bike trail similar to Arbor Hills? The off-road trail at Arbor Hills is only 2.25 miles long, but a great amenity to a great park. I'm a member of DORBA (Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association) and we would love to finally have a multi-use trail in Frisco. There are 25+ trails in DFW (including ones in Plano at Arbor Hills and McKinney at Erwin Park), but we are missing one right here in our backyard.

Thanks,
Ed

Jeff
Excited about this project. Would love to see a bit higher resolution image so I can comment on the planned elements. The sixth image looks like it has labels but the resolution of the image isn't high enough for them to be read. That said, a few comments:
- The surrounding development quality is critical. Shops at Legacy appears to be the gold standard in this regard, which also seems to have delivered nice integration to its smaller park.
- The best natural parks I know of in this area are Arbor Hills in Plano and Zilker in Austin. I hope for some natural hiking or mountain/biking trails in Grand Park as Arbor Hills provides. Zilker is also very large and seems to do a great job integrating lots of uses. It benefits from a perfect setting.

Jon,

The last graphic shows the tollway which is 300ft wide, the width of a football field. This has always helped me better visualize how large all of the components are. I hope that helps.

I love the redesign, especially the integration of kid's place into nature and the reuse of excavated dirt into the various hills/mounds. The one thing I wish they had was a rendering that could help us visualize the true size of the greens and lakes.

Living in the Plantation Resort addition I can tell you that the "hunters" are LESS than 600 feet from houses and schools. I have seen hunters on the fence line shooting. I was raised on a farm and I am NOT against hunting. I go hunting every year. However, I am against hunting so close to a school and many houses. I have called the police department for the last 11 years when I see hunters on the fence line with a loaded gun and only 300 feet from my home. Nothing will be done until a child is shot while playing on the play ground or someone is shot in their own backyard. Unless the police are right there most of the hunter do as they please. I don't feel real comfortable taking my children to school while watching men with guns in clear sight of our own home and have to explain to my children (pre-school age and K) why the men in the field have guns. I know everyone is entitled to hunt, I just wish they were not so close.
